The Town of Bolton is located approximately 50 km (31 mi) northwest of Toronto
in Ontario's Peel Region.
Bolton and surrounding towns such as Caledon
and Orangeville
are popular among day-trippers looking to get out of the city and enjoy some peace
and quiet in the country. A number of community parks are located throughout the
town including the Dicks
Dam Park, which is a pleasant spot for a picnic, and R.J.A
Potts Memorial Park which features squash, bocce and basketball courts. Kids
will love Bolton as it is home to the Daniel's
Ark Wildlife Preservation Alliance, a wilderness preserve where visitors can
view cougars, linx, black bears, wolves and more. The younger crowd will also
enjoy the climbing wall and tree house playground at Rockin
Play, or entertain them with a round of mini-golf at the Putt-n-Play
Entertainment Centre. Head outdoors and get some fresh air at Albion
Hills. Located a few kilometres north of town in nearby Palgrave,
the conservation area is popular for tobogganing, cross-country skiing, fishing,
swimming, biking, hiking and more.
